All in a days work

Spring turkey hunt 2008. Wyatt, dad and bird,Tanner.

After hammering the kitchen floor with a weighted hammer we got the floor level and this is the crack it left in the stairway sheetrock.

Chore time

Mom Mote gave us her amarylis to enjoy while she has been traveling this spring..It sure is beautiful. Especially with all the cloudy gloomy days we've had. The second stalk has yet to open yet.

WHOOPS. Old insulation from the attic that littered much of the kitchen floor

The corner of the old garage met with a sledgehammer. Amazingly enough it made it through years of parking the car without getting demolished.

Updating remodeling

In the current kitchen looking into the diningroom..11 ft opening is wonderful. It was a standard door size before.

In the current diningroom looking towards a very mixed up current kitchen. Openess! The washer and dryer combo is useable and will not be a permanant addition. Right now the walls are currently wearing pink insulation.

Monday hodgepodge

Interior destruction begins. Knocking down some walls,
Taking apart cabinets, removing countertops..

Rich was down and he and Vernon cut up some slab wood then we had sweetnsour pork for a 54th bday supper. The mote boys came for bday cake..excuse the messy table ..the house is total chaos!

After eating some cake (frosted cheek) he wandered over to the brocolli pan and started eating trees!

Back in time

Too funny here today.

We are in the beginning of a remodel project and are finding assorted stuff..too much stuff but the grandkids here today are

laying on the floor (watching)the old fisherprice tapeplayer books. You can turn the page when you hear the sound like this...brrriinnngg..they are as close to the tape player as can be listening intently. Brer rabbit and the tar baby.

We have read this book but the storyteller is doing it quite well on the tape..I remember my own kids spending time with this great toy!

We have never moved and all the nooks and crannies of the part we are going to remodel are holding an amazing amount of things being discovered. Now the piles are looming..toss donate,keep, and questionable.SIGH
